Why I don’t go to Nature Reserves
did you see that sunset?
yes I saw that sunset
didn't do a single thing for me
did you see that sunset?
yes I saw that sunset
didn't do a single thing for me
Jesus, come quickly
there is no other prayer left in me
neither for the poor
nor those who tend to the poor
alarm bell rings
coffee dreams of better things
than a never-empty quiver
and ever-moving targets
how quickly I forget
the things I get away with
my promises get swept
‘til one more bug comes stay with
we all got problems dude
you're not in solitude
just take the time to rest your bones
to be alone
as I reflect
on disconnect
I see that I was screaming
for way way far
what's with all these people
that I see on my TV
each sinner's backing winners
and they say it could be me
the ordinary man
has a job a Ford and bills
brings the kids to football
drinks Guinness just to chill
if night should fall on you
and we must carry on
I shall only speak of love
I love you cos you make the rain fall softer
with you the night is always full of stars
you push me on that one step further
and pull me from the brink a step too far
